Clevertouch published Clevershare 2 for Android operating system mobile devices, but it is possible to download and install Clevershare 2 for PC or Computer with operating systems such as Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and Mac. Let's find out the prerequisites to install Clevershare 2 on Windows PC or MAC computer without much delay. The Clevershare App is free to download and compatible with Android, Windows, iOS and Chrome devices. Up to 50 devices can connect with the Clevertouch screen and share content – images, video, and audio. The presenter has full control over what is shared, and can show up to 4 device screens simultaneously, increasing student collaboration.

Extended desktop mode with ClickShare

This KB explains how to use the extended desktop mode on Windows with ClickShare. This functionality requires the installation of the ClickShare Extension Pack, which is available for Windows and can be downloaded here

If you need this functionality simply to view your presenter notes whilst sharing a Powerpoint presentation, please refer to [KB10950] on how to use Presenter mode with the ClickShare Desktop App on both Windows and Mac, without the need to install the Extension Pack.

How to use the Extended desktop mode with the ClickShare Desktop App or when the Base Unit has a firmware version higher than 1.9.1.

The ClickShare Desktop App is available for download at www.clickshare.app

On your Windows PC, insert the ClickShare Button or use the ClickShare Desktop App to connect to the Base Unit
Inserting the ClickShare Button should launch the ClickShare App on the Button's mass storage. In case this does not happen automatically, go to the Button's mass storage and start the executable manually.
In the ClickShare App, click on the 'quick menu' in the top right corner.
In the dropdown menu that will appear, select the 'Extended desktop' option
When doing so, the extended desktop sign will appear on the corner of the virtual Button (white circle on the right) in the ClickShare App
Press the (virtual) ClickShare Button to share your extended desktop to the main display.

How to use the Extended desktop mode with the ClickShare Button when the Base Unit has a firmware version lower than 1.9.1.

Procedure

Insert the ClickShare Button into your windows PC. This should launch the ClickShare App on the Button's mass storage. In case this does not happen automatically, go to the Button's mass storage and start the executable manually.
Right-click the ClickShare Client icon in the system tray, which is usually located at the bottom right of your desktop
Select Shared Desktop from the context menu
If the option Shared Desktop is not available or does not work please check [KB1343].
Select Extended Desktop from the context menu options as shown below
Press the ClickShare Button to share your extended desktop to the main display.

Note

If you're using the extended desktop mode with ClickShare without having installed the Extension pack, you will be prompted to install the ClickShare Extension Pack. Administrative rights on your Windows PC are required to install the extension pack.

Extended desktop functionality is only supported on 64-bit versions of Windows. See [KB5221].
